Welcome to Bangladesh Society, Inc.

Mission and History:

Founded in 1975 in Queens, Bangladesh Society, Inc. aims to help expatriate Bangladeshis in the USA maintain strong ties to their homeland’s culture, history, traditions, and values. It recognizes that while members have relocated physically, their emotional and psychological bonds remain, driving the need for a supportive community network in NYC.

Services and Programs:

The society organizes cultural events, social gatherings, and educational activities to preserve heritage. They observe national holidays, host discussions on Bangladeshi norms, and provide resources for personal growth, helping families navigate life abroad while staying rooted.

Community Impact:

For nearly 50 years, it’s fostered belonging and cohesion among NYC’s Bangladeshis, reducing cultural disconnection and building support systems. This has helped generations integrate while honoring their identity, contributing to a vibrant diaspora.

How to Get Involved:

Attend events or volunteer for committees—contact them to join. It’s ideal for families seeking cultural connections; share your skills in organizing or teaching to enrich the group.
