Over 200-year-old Hindu pilgrimage shrine housing a gigantic 24-foot sculpture of Lord Shiva (Kalbhairab), the largest of its kind in Bangladesh.
Established around 1800 AD by Durgaram Dashi on the bank of the Titas River in Medda, this temple houses an extraordinary 24-foot-tall seated clay image of Lord Shiva in his fierce Kalbhairab manifestation. The massive statue was rebuilt with devotion after being damaged in 1971 and draws worshippers and tourists year-round.
