The celebrated zamindari estate and manor where Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore resided, penned masterpieces like "Chhinna Patravali", and established a rich museum.
Constructed during the late 19th century by the Tagore family to manage their vast estates along the Karatoya River, this two-storied colonial manor housed Rabindranath Tagore on frequent creative sojourns between 1890 and 1896. Here he composed famous short stories like "Postmaster", "Kabuliwala", and parts of "Sonar Tori". The preserved residence showcases his antique bed, pianoforte, palki, and handwritten notes.
