Establishment in the Early 1940s:
Established during British rule in the early 1940s, Shah Amanat International Airport enjoys an illustrious legacy of international cooperation and development. First used for domestic flights after Bangladesh won independence from Britain in 1971, its significant revision in 1998 ensured its relevance within global aviation.

| Car parking: | Parking at the airport is available to respectable passengers and visitors for the following fees: 1) Trucks (3-5 Tons) and buses: TK150/= for the first five hours, TK60/= for the next five hours, and TK.200/= for the following twenty-four hours; turned over to the police after 24 hours 2. Car Jeep and Microbus: In the first five hours, the rate is TK60/=, In the subsequent five hours and up to 24 hours, the rate is TK25/= per hour, and the vehicle is handed over to law enforcement after 24 hours. 3. Bicycles: For the first five hours, TK.20/=, for the next five hours and up to 24 hours, TK.5/= (five) per hour; handover to law enforcement after 24 hours. |
