The HSBC Bangladesh homepage says the retail banking wind-down has started, no new products will be offered, and services are being discontinued in phases. The June 2025 Wealth and Personal Banking brochure, under Debit Card, prints first card issuance Free and an annual fee of BDT 500 or equivalent foreign currency. Card replacement is BDT 500 or equivalent foreign currency, and replacement is free when an HSBC ATM damaged the card. Duplicate PIN is BDT 200 or equivalent foreign currency. A duplicate sales draft is BDT 150 or equivalent foreign currency. Cash withdrawal inside Bangladesh is free on the HSBC network, and BDT 15 or equivalent foreign currency on NPSB and Visa. Outside Bangladesh it is BDT 200 equivalent foreign currency at an HSBC Group ATM and BDT 350 equivalent foreign currency on Visa. The currency conversion mark-up is 3% on debit card transactions denominated in foreign currencies.
