Shah Amanat International Airport (IATA: CGP, ICAO: VGEG) serves as an entryway into Chattogram, Bangladesh’s bustling southeastern port city. As its second-largest international airport and an integral component of Bangladesh’s aerial network, this bustling hub stands as its primary gateway.

Conveniently Located:

Patenga neighborhood lies approximately 20 kilometers from GEC Circle – Chattogram’s commercial hub – and 18.5 kilometers away from its railway station, conveniently allowing convenient entry/exit of Chattogram. Sitting along Karnaphuli River on its northern bank it also allows access both into and out of Chattogram.

Establishment in the Early 1940s:

Established during British rule in the early 1940s, Shah Amanat International Airport enjoys an illustrious legacy of international cooperation and development. First used for domestic flights after Bangladesh won independence from Britain in 1971, its significant revision in 1998 ensured its relevance within global aviation.

Car parking:Parking at the airport is available to respectable passengers and visitors for the following fees:
1) Trucks (3-5 Tons) and buses: TK150/= for the first five hours, TK60/= for the next five hours, and TK.200/= for the following twenty-four hours; turned over to the police after 24 hours
2. Car Jeep and Microbus: In the first five hours, the rate is TK60/=, In the subsequent five hours and up to 24 hours, the rate is TK25/= per hour, and the vehicle is handed over to law enforcement after 24 hours.
3. Bicycles: For the first five hours, TK.20/=, for the next five hours and up to 24 hours, TK.5/= (five) per hour; handover to law enforcement after 24 hours.
First Aid:First aid crews from CAAB provide free treatment during watch hours for sick or injured passengers.
Banking System:The international terminal building has a foreign currency exchange booth.
Duty Free Shop:Private and Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation operate duty free shops for honorable passenger(s).
Hotel Booking:Passengers can book hotels at the hotel booking booth.
Pure Drinking Water:Passengers have access to pure drinking water.
Prayer Room:Passengers have access to a prayer room.
CCTV Camera:Closed-circuit cameras monitor passenger safety.
Wi-Fi:Passengers can use free Wi-Fi
FIDS:The flight arrival and departure times are displayed on the Flight Information Display System.
