Monumental 7th-century terraced cellular brick stupa foundation associated with the folk folklore of Behula and Lakhinder from the Manasamangal epic.
Located 2 km south of Mahasthangarh in Gokul village, this monumental 42-foot elevated terrace was constructed between the 7th and 12th centuries during the Somapura-era Buddhist expansion. Featuring 172 blind rectangular brick cells arranged in tiers to support a central temple, local mythology permanently ties this awe-inspiring mound to the tragic wedding night of Behula and Lakhinder.
